How to Build a Consistent Brand, Grow on YouTube, and Use AI to Stay Ahead
This week’s best tips for YouTube growth, must-have AI insights, and why patience pays off.

Hi there! Here’s what I created, consumed, and reflected on this week. I hope you find some valuable takeaways to fuel your own creative journey.
🐝 1 Thing I Created This Week
I went live on YouTube again with my cohost, Casey Watkins, to help Syllaby Content Creators build and grow their faceless YouTube channels. We reviewed a few channels and shared some insights that could really help boost your channel’s performance. Here are a few key takeaways:
Brand Consistency: If you’re building a personal brand, keep your visuals consistent. For instance, if your brand colours are yellow and black, make sure those colours dominate your YouTube thumbnails. It’s a small thing that goes a long way. Check out how Mel Robbins nails this!
Thumbnail vs. Title Text: Your video title and thumbnail text shouldn’t be the same. The title should concisely explain your content in under 100 characters, while the thumbnail should capture the message in five words or less. Here’s a prompt to try in ChatGPT:
“You are a YouTube thumbnail and copywriting expert. ‘[Your video title]’ is the title of my video. Please write 10 variations of thumbnail titles that perfectly sum up the video and are all 5 words or less.”
Use Related Videos: When you publish a Short, always select a related video in the settings. This way, YouTube will display it in the footer of the Short, giving viewers an easy path to more of your content and helping grow your viewership.
Pinned Comments: If you’re directing traffic from YouTube to your website or an affiliate product, pin a comment with that link on each video. Even if you get a ton of comments, your pinned one will stay at the top, boosting the chances of clicks.

🐝 1 Thing I Consumed This Week
I recently started following Ruben Hassid—founder of AI content generator EasyGen and an absolute powerhouse of practical AI insights. Ruben’s content is a great way to stay up to speed on all things AI. Follow him on LinkedIn or Threads here:

🐝 1 Thought I Had This Week
Patience is key.
I’ll be honest—my YouTube channel has hit a bit of a rough patch lately. Growth has slowed, and I haven’t quite figured out why. While strategising and experimenting with new approaches, I keep reminding myself to stay patient and stay consistent. The ups and downs are part of the journey, and I’ve learned from other creators that the key is to keep going, especially through slower times.
I’m genuinely enjoying the content I’m creating, and I think that passion is what helps me stay consistent. Even though my channel’s growth isn’t where I’d like it to be, I’m still benefiting from recurring affiliate commissions. If you’re thinking about creating your own YouTube channel, now’s a great time to start. You can try Syllaby for free with a 7-day trial, and if you decide to sign up, use the code ‘CHALLENGE’ to get 25% off. Start here:
